About Dame de Montrose
Dame de Montrose is the second wine of Château Montrose. Château Montrose was born in 1815 thanks to Etienne Théodore Dumoulin. In fact, he cleared the old hill of Bruyère and planted vines instead. It is also from this hill of Bruyère that came the name of the castle, in reference of their color when they was flowery. In 1850 the vineyard reached 50 ha and added infrastructures. In 1855, the wine has been ranked 2nd Grand Cru. The Chateau de Montrose produces two wines, the Château de Montrose and its second wine, just as qualitative and a little more flexible.
