About Château Climens

The Château climens is located within the Barsac appellation. The terroir of this domain is an incomparable entity. Its red soils rest on a cracked limestone. It induces excellent natural drainage. This exceptional terroir encourages an early development of “Botrytis Cinerea”. Its favorite grape variety, Semillon, also finds a truly fabulous expression. First Grand Cru Classé in 1855, the family Lurton acquired the estate in 1971. Today, it is still this passionate family that perpetuates the magic. It ensures that this legendary vintage always shines by more brilliance and elegance.
